Senior Seminar #3 will be held after school today in the media center. The topic will be on resume and essay writing.
It’s time to get your financial aid in place for college! Complete your application at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
If you haven’t completed your Bright Futures application, please see your counselor.
Get those volunteer hours in ASAP. A minimum of 75 hours are required for Bright Futures.(announce once/twice a week until February 22nd.)
Spanish club members candy money must be handed in to go on the field trip. Candy money should be handed in by next Wednesday February 29. Permission slip and field trip money needs to be handed in also. We will have our meeting on Tuesday March 6 to organize for the field trip. This will be our last meeting before the trip. Field trip money needs to be handed in at this time. If there is a problem please come see Señora Osteen. (read through Wed 2/29)
National Technical Honor Society ceremony has been moved to March 1st due to the races on Thursday 23rd. Please check EDMODO regularly for announcements.
The ASVAB is coming to Mainland High School on March 7, 2012 at 7:30 a.m. You may sign up in Student Services beginning today until March 6th. The ASVAB is for juniors and seniors only who are interested in finding out more about career choices. Taking the ASVAB does not obligate you to talk with a military recruiter!
Senior T-shirts are still available for purchase in the Activities office for $15.00.
Seniors: Grad Bash tickets are still available for $82.00 and are on sale in the activities office before and after school and during lunch until February 29.
Continue to bring in those coins for Pasta for Pennies which benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. We will be collecting through next Wednesday, February 29. Every penny counts. Mainland has already collected over $1,400! Way to go Bucs!
Congratulations to the Academic Team for completing a winning season last night at De Land. Our Mainland team defeated both Pine Ridge and Deltona. Outstanding players were: Matt Dent, Maggie Gallant, David Ramsay, Corey Cook, Kelsey Justis, Molly Begendorf, Christina Wilson, Franchesca Diaz, Hardik Patel, Heather Wade and Eli Larrabee. Members need to meet Monday at lunch with Ms. Wulchak for Banquet information. Great season Academic Team!
